She is a droolin' fool, and due to the beginning of teething, she is always chewing on her hands.
She loves to smile, and talk all the time. We set up her Jumparoo thingy, and she gets so excited by all the colors - and especially the music.
She has several songs that we sing to her to make her smile.
Her #1 Billboard hit is:
"My name is Zozo -
I'm on the go go
Can't tell me no no,
Cause when I go go, I'm so cute."
Adam made up a more simple song for her the other day:
"Do the ZoZo dance -
First, shake your hips (Zoey of course shakes her hips),
Second -
Shut your mouth - I'm dancing (sassy style)."
They have both clearly been created by professional writers.
Zoey's song follows a long line of baby songs, as mine was:
"Baby Laine, ohhh she's a good girl.
Baby Laine, ohhh she's her momma's pearl."
Shay's song:
"Shay Michelle is very swell, she's her momma's Tinkerbell."
Obviously, it is better to be a good girl than a Tinkerbell, right?
Unfortunately, for Brooke Baker, her song was written at a time when there were several pre-teens in the house - and the song Bad Boys from the show Cops was huge. Her song is as follows:
(Cops theme music)
Miss Brooke, Miss Brooke, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when you poo on your shoe?"
Poor kid, but she LOVED it when we sang it to her.
She also may or may not have had poo on her shoe at one time or another.
We will be heading to Texas in a few weeks to finally meet Elsa! Zoey will also get to meet Uncle Dan for the first time. After that, we will trek to see Adam's family and have an official naming ceremony for Zoey. That reminds me - we need to pick her Hebrew name, kind of important. She is very excited!

Dear Zoey,
Neither your Dad or I play a musical instrument, but we are going to get you some kind of lessons. You don't have to stick with it for the rest of your life, but please try for a few years. It will seem very boring sometimes when you would rather be playing, but it will be worth it. Also, your Dad doesn't want you to listen to any popular boy bands. Ever. Love you!
Love,
Mom
